In January 2001, we released our Lord of the Rings music tribute song, "Tolkien (The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings)" to MP3.com. Within a month, the song skyrocketed up the charts to #14 of the MP3.com charts out of over two million songs!

Two years later, the Brobdingnagian Bards are at last completing a music CD dedicated to the JRR Tolkien's. This album is soundtrack, if you will for the books, filled with entirely original Lord of the Rings music. It is a mostly instrumental album that aspires to show our memories of the Lord of the Rings music world.

Lord of the Rings Music Inspiration
J.R.R. Tolkien was no doubt one of the greatest fantasy writers of the 20th century. His books The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy have inspired countless people around the world. We are two of the countless people.

Lord of the Rings History
In 1999, we wrote a song, "Tolkien (The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings)," and recorded for "Songs of the Muse". That song rocketed up the charts climbing as high as #14 on all MP3.com. It has never fallen since below #10 on the Celtic charts, and continues to remain #1 favorite song the Celtic MP3 music charts. It's a beautiful, haunting, and a magical song. It's success helpd us to decide record an entire album of Lord of the Rings music inspired by JRR Tolkien called Memories of Middle Earth. The album is now being duplicated and we hope to officially release it in June.

Lord of the Rings Limited-Edition CD

We needed to raise funds for the purchase and promotion of this album. To do this, we sold Limited-Edition CD-Rs. Each CD was signed and numbered by the Brobdingnagian Bards. We even emailed purchasers MP3s so they could listen before the album was received.

Plus, as an added bonus, we also sent hand-written thank you cards autographed by the Brobdingnagian Bards, stickers and all those who helped us out were added to the Tolkien Wall of Honor! Only FORTY copies were made!
